From Kobe to Kyrie, Nike lineup reflects the stars

The bigger the stars, the hotter they burn. And Kids Foot Locker carries the signature footwear by some of the hottest in basketball: Kevin Durant, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, and rising sensation Kyrie Irving.

Nike is itself a star on the hardwood, donning the feet of more than half of the league's players. The Swoosh, as it's known because of its internationally recognizable logo, first swept the basketball world in 1982, introducing encapsulated Air technology. And the company hasn't stopped thinking of ways to cushion ballers' feet.

      Kobe

Kobe Bryant's story has long been found in his signature sneaker. This line has featured a low-cut silhouette, to enable explosiveness, since the Kobe IV in 2009. And the Kobe X features horizontal lines on the left heel to remind fans of the sutures needed to repair the Achilles tendon that Bryant injured severely in 2013. And in keeping with Bryant's aggressive “predator” nature on the court, the Kobe X features an open-mesh upper that not only promotes ventilation but draws inspiration from sharkskin. Be explosive with kid's Nike Kobe gears.

      LeBron

LeBron “King” James has taken two teams to the finals and is one of the great players in league history. As a bigger player - in stature as well as reputation - his signature shoe includes features that lend extra support and cushioning. The LeBron 12 includes a diamond pattern in the ankle collar that carries over from the LeBron X, where it represented the beauty that can emerge from extreme pressure and heat. Zoom Air low-profile cushioning runs the length of the outsole, where it's articulated to promote natural foot movement. Play like the King with Lebron shoes and apparel.

      KD

The KD7 reflects Durant's explosive nature on the court. When Nike unveiled the shoe in the summer of 2014, it incorporated themes of “lightning” that seemed to complement nicely the Thunder for whom Durant plays. But the weather references also tipped off fans to some of the things that make KD, KD. Meaning, he had said that if he hadn't made it as a basketball player, he would've liked to become a meteorologist. Find other KD shoes and apparel to play like Kevin Durant.

      Kyrie

Nike's youngest signature athlete rose to fame as “old Uncle Drew.” Kyrie Irving, of Cleveland, emerged as the character in a 2012 soft-drink ad campaign where he fooled “young blood” into thinking he was a feeble little old man, lulling them into complacence while he eventually schooled them all with stunning slashes and dynamic dunks. Irving has pulled similar feats on the professional courts, and Nike has rewarded his charisma and ability with the Kyrie 1. Irving's debut signature kick, which he wore during his first trip to the finals in 2015, features a low-top silhouette, and a herringbone traction pattern that wraps up onto the sides of the midsole, a clue as to how severely Irving can cut during games. Find other Kyrie shoes and apparel all in one place, Kids Foot Locker.
