While many of us know and love the classic Birkenstock Arizona sandal, that’s just the tip of the iceberg with this brand. Get your child a classic Birkenstock, or choose one of the more unique and uncommon silhouettes.
You can get the Arizona EVA, which puts a modern and casual twist on the legendary sandal. They have the same shape, but they’re made with durable and firm EVA rubber.
If your child loves the EVA rubber but needs more security, get the Milano EVA. These use the same tough rubber and offer a similar silhouette, with the addition of a heel strap, which keeps the sandals snug on their feet and prevents them from sliding out while having fun.
The Gizeh EVA ditches the traditional straps and buckles for a thong-style silhouette. The shoe stays firmly in place beneath kids, with their toes holding the shoe. These also have a small buckle, so you can adjust them to fit perfectly.
The Rio EVA is another fabulous choice, offering complete security with ankle, heel, and toe straps. No matter how hard they play, they can rely on these shoes to stay on.
The Birkenstock Mayari uses classic Birkenstock materials but has thinner straps and smaller buckles for an elegant appearance. On the other hand, the Mogami is a rubber style built for sport, offering extra straps for stability. We even have Birkenstock Zermatt Shearling slippers.
Sandals That Support Each Step
Both traditional cork and modern EVA sandals use thoughtful construction for a premium fit and feel. Let’s start with the traditional ones.
They have an anatomically formed cork and latex footbed that offers firm support and comfort. The EVA rubber midsole absorbs shock impact to prevent tired or sore feet. The patented Birko-Flor® upper creates a supple and sophisticated appearance.
Just to make sure your child is extra comfy, there is a suede footbed lining for softness. A tough outsole helps them stay steady on slippery surfaces.
The EVA Birkenstocks are also comfy and supportive but almost exclusively use EVA rubber. This gives them a lightweight and sleek feel while delivering the same comfort for which Birkenstock is known.
Both the cork and EVA Birks have a flat heel, distributing pressure evenly across your foot. The footbeds contour to children’s soles and toes, cradling their feet.
